I also attached a quote about NPD. Have a look
Today I share with you a lesser-known fact about narcissists.
As most of us have already suspected narcissistic personality disorder does have some of its roots in childhood experiences, particularly those involving trauma or neglect. While the exact causes of NPD are not fully understood, research suggests that adverse childhood experiences may contribute to the development of narcissistic traits. Some individuals with NPD may have experienced significant childhood trauma, such as physical or emotional abuse, neglect, or inconsistent parenting. These early experiences can shape their worldview and self-perception, leading to the development of narcissistic defenses as a means of self-protection and coping.
It is not uncommon for individuals with NPD to also have comorbid conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, or borderline personality disorder. The presence of these additional conditions can complicate the diagnosis and treatment of NPD, and it highlights the importance of a comprehensive and holistic approach to addressing an individual's mental health.
